optomeb, no, psycopg2 has better compatibility with pgsql, but isn't itself fully compatible with psycopg1. they'll both coexist if you install them both
Far as i know, they both do dbapi 2 |

| If you're using zope you need psycopg1, otherwise psycopg2 will probably work fine |
