Alfred State College is looking for Assistant Professor, Computer Imaging and Architectural Engineering Technology

Job details:

The successful candidate will be teaching a broad range of animation and/or interactive courses within AAS - Computer Art and Design program. Additional planned instructional responsibilities include new interactive courses in the BS -   Digital Media and Animation program, pending New York State Education Department approval.  In addition to instruction, he or she will be responsible for curriculum and studio development, student advisement, student recruitment, committee involvement, and on-going professional scholarship. 


 


The candidate must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.  Teaching experience is preferred. Knowledge of the history of visual communication and animation, montage in print and film, plus knowledge of history and current concerns in interactive media is perferred. Experience with MAYA or other related software is a plus for future course consideration.  Master of Fine Arts or other terminal degree, with emphasis in Electronic Media, and a portfolio of self and student work are required. Candidate must have experience with the following software: Adobe Photoshop, AfterEffects, Macromedia Flash, Dreamweaver, ImageReady, or related programs.
