944 Magazine – a fashion , entertainment and lifestyle glossy with publications in Los Angeles, Las Vegas, San Diego and Phoenix currently seeks a Senior Web Manager to join our creative team for the hottest, fastest growing magazine in the West. The Senior Web Manager’s responsibility is to focus on the online creative future of 944 Magazine in the digital world.

Responsibilities

- Develops integrated solutions to support online marketing utilizing expert knowledge of best practices and interactive tools.

- Creates/develops/tunes content and Web tools that will inspire customers and prospects in their acquisition/implementation of 944.com, driving an increasing rate of return visitors and inquiries.

- Identifies content and Web tools appropriate for different audiences: prospects, analysts, media, customers, partners and international users.

- Influences home page calendar by representing internal client needs and company priorities.

- Analyzes metrics from assigned sections of the site relative to other site areas, then looks for trends requiring more in depth analysis or recommends site-level changes based on findings; examines data and makes recommendations to internal clients to evolve site content and web tools to maximize effectiveness of inquiry generation.

- Creates standards based on knowledge of site effectiveness, usability and business factors utilizing wireframes, storyboards and mock-ups to communicate.

- Leverages internal and 3rd party experts such as editorial and design as necessary.

- Maintains a leading edge understanding of web site management, information architecture, user experience, metrics; web technologies best practices and possibilities.

- Manages contractors and vendor relationships as needed on time and within budget.

- Conducts quality assurance testing on assigned areas of the site during site upgrades and tool launches.

- Works with client group, peers and management team to define the scope, technical and business requirements, budget, benefit analysis, and cost justification for projects with site-wide implications.

- Conducts best practices surveys and communicates results and recommendations.

****Must have an online Portfolio****

- Minimum 2-5 years web design experience; 1 year on-line user interface design experience.

- Business Understanding, Teamwork, Problem Solving, Communication. Enterprise software industry knowledge and/or experience desirable

- Solid working knowledge in Photoshop, Illustrator, DreamWeaver, Flash, HTML, CSS, Quark, InDesign

- Excellent communicator; passionate about achieving the ultimate on-line visitor experience.

- Very organized, able to manage multiple projects; attention to details.

- Must be willing/able to work extended/non-traditional hours as needed.

- Must have 3 years in web project management experience.

- Ideal candidate will have managed, produced, and/or assisted the project management for an interactive agency or major brand.

- Technical Must Haves: Microsoft Project or similar products.
